Author and adventure canoeing enthusiast Rich Annen is the Assistant Chief for the De Pere, Wisconsin, Fire Department and has been a professional firefighter for nearly 40 years.
Rich has traveled throughout the United States and Canada with family and friends for most of his life, and the expertise he gained from a lifetime of outdoor living formed the basis for his book, “Wilderness Canoeing: A Guide to the Boundary Waters of Minnesota.” The book is available at many outfitting shops in northern Minnesota as well as on Amazon in paperback and Kindle versions.
